The fee entitles the individual to a two (2) year membership to the South Texas Section (STS) – AIChE as a ‘Local Member Only’ within the nearly two (2) year period starting one (1) day after joining and ending at 12:00 Midnight December 31 of the following year. This option does not include AIChE National membership fees. Those persons who become ‘Local Member Only’ are entitled to all the rights and privileges of STS – AIChE membership, but they may not hold office in the STS - AIChE and they may not vote in elections of STS officers or amendments to the STS – AIChE bylaws. It is hoped that the ‘Local Member Only’ will soon join AIChE and select STS as their local section.
